About Mary

” Although my Spirit may go far away over the sea,
Let it come back to me again so that I may live and journey there.”

Hymn of the Rig Veda

I have been on a spiritual  and wellness path most of my adult life.  In 1968 when the Beatles hit America, I became a huge fan.  When George Harrison of the Beatles brought attention to the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi with meditation, I was on top of it.  I devoted time to developing my own meditation practice.  Over the years, I have practiced mindfulness meditation, breath work through yoga, toning, and sound healing I am a certified meditation instructor through the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

At the age of 42 I began experiencing a change of life with the onset of early menopause.  Western Medicine told me to have a hysterectomy.  But, I knew there had to be a better way.  Through a friend who I found Ayurveda.  I studied with Dr. Sunil Joshi from India. Through the practice of Ayurveda (Science of Life) which includes yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, identifying your dosha (body type) herbs and change of diet, I was able to assist in my own healing. Later I wanted to help others and became a certified Ayurvedic practitioner through the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

I decided to study different aspects of Ayurveda. I became a licensed by the State of Tennessee in Massage Therapy; I received certifications in: Reiki Master, Primordial Sound Meditation, Aromatherapy, Hatha yoga, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Qigong Level I, II and III instructor, Level I Healing Food Instructor.  Through all of these modalities, my spiritual fire was lit and let me to various studies in shamanism and intuition.  I became a Free Soul Instructor.
